Time Flies

I can't believe I haven't blogged in a month! I can tell you that time is flying by. I wanted to show you what I have been up to.
First I wanted to show you my Heather Ross Mendocino Hoard. I finally decided to cut it up and make something. Can't wait to get this one all finished.

I did get a chance to sew a lot of my scraps by making log cabin blocks. I love the blue and pink combo in any quilt.

Last but not least. I know it is a little early for Christmas but I am prepping for one more market. I hope you have a great weekend!

Friends and Family

I have been busy busy making and finishing my to do list. Since I am now fast at making these I decided to make some for friends and family.

This one is made out of wool. I thought it would be more difficult to sew but wasn't. Pressing the seems flat was a little harder than with cotton.

This one is for my friend that cuts hair. She has an appointment book that is pretty sad looking so it was a perfect gift for her.

Do you have a favorite?  I hope that you are all having a great Friday. Come back tomorrow because it's my turn for the block of the month.

Checking It Off

My husband asked me if I would make some gifts for his co-workers for Christmas a couple of weeks ago. I am happy to say I can check this off my list. I had a total of 18 to make. He asked his Co-workers  for 2 favorite colors and their favorite hobby or interest. I had free reign on the design which was both fun and challenging. Lots of Pictures.
Art
 Ice skating
Cooking
 Fishing
 Travel
 Bee keeping
 Basketball
(Photography)
I have a few more Christmas to do's and then I am trying to get all of my unfinished projects done so I can start the year off fresh. Have a wonderful Friday!

Embroidery

I used to be way into embroidery and would take it on vacations for something light and compact. I found this in my stack of towels that are finished. I didn't use a pattern I just free handed it with an erasable fabric pen.
It is definitely not a perfect pattern but it was good to practice my stitches.
