Patchwork

I have had a great summer so far with lots of fun and sewing.  When my scraps get out of control I  usually cut them up into 5 inch squares. They are perfect  for future projects like this quilt. I definitely recommend it for times when you need to make a quilt quickly.
I also took the opportunity to practice the orange peel quilting method. Mine are more like butterflies because they are all very unique and not uniform.
Feeling Groovy flannel stripe for the back.
 Thanks for stopping in.

So pretty! I'm still a newbie to quilting so I don't have many scraps yet. But I love the idea of cutting the scraps into blocks as I go instead of just hoarding the scraps in wads. :-)
