Summer Brights

January is such a drab month. Summer has been on my mind since we have had horrible weather. From thoughts of sunshine I put together this bright bold color palette.
I used this pattern and added a border to make it a little bigger.
I think this will make some little girl very happy.

For the back I used a feel'in groovy flannel and used a solid pink for the binding. What is your favorite solid fabric that you use? I am a Kona fan but I would love to hear what other people use.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I too love Kona. It has such a nice weave and weight. When I purchased some Bella for the first time I was surprised at how thin it was. I could see using it for a summertime quilt. I mixed a piece of bella in with a Kona block I made and will never do that again. Maybe from the difference in the hand the bella wrinkled a bit and would not iron flat.

The quilt is beautiful! It would make this "older" girl very happy too, so bright and bubbly. I like Moda Bella Solids. I have more experience using these. We don't get a lot of Kona in Australia.

That is so cheerful and fun! I love it! Especially during that terrible January we just had.
