Yellow and Gray

Brain Cancer Sucks brain-cancer
Did you know that yellow and gray are the colors for brain cancer awareness?
One of my cousins that is 17 was just diagnosed with brain cancer last week. I would like you to meet this amazing girl and check out her blog here.
I wanted to make Rachel  a personal gift that she could enjoy. I decided to do this on Wednesday and because she will be leaving for treatments in just a few days I needed to bust it out fast. This was one of my favorite quilts to make with her favorite colors.
Rachel's initials just in case someone tries to claim it as their own.
Flea market fancy seeds for the binding.
I was able to give it to her Friday night and had a wonderful time chatting with and catching up on her life.

I am so sorry that Rachel is having to face this fight. My sister was diagnosed with brain cancer eleven months ago and is doing really well right now. Best wishes to Rachel and your whole family. It sounds like she has the right attitude and that seems to help a lot!

Beautiful quilt! I am sure she will treasure it!

Love the quilt, Nat! I just bought a bunch of yellow and gray fabrics and I'm so excited to use it.
I hope you niece's treatments go well and that her quilt brings her a lot of comfort.

Natalie, that is so sad! I hope that her youth will be a big advantage during this fight. Her quilt is so lovely! I'm sure it will keep her warm during her treatments. I've heard that they get very cold very easy. Much love to you and yours! :-)
